MEI Real Estate Services encourages and, in fact, insists that all MEI team members maintain the highest moral and ethical standards in their daily dealings. We seek to maintain an equitable, honorable, and cooperative association with all who may become part of our business and professional lives. MEI recognizes and supports the need to preserve and encourage fair, equitable practices and competition among all who are engaged in the real estate profession. Recognizing that a good reputation is a possession beyond price, we understand that this, combined with the quality of its services, determines the success of our firm and the respect attained in the real estate community. Client
At all times, MEI exercises loyalty to the interests of our client and in the diligent maintenance and protection of their property. If an activity would result in a conflict between the interests of the firm and the interests of the client, then the interests of the client takes precedence. Unless court ordered, MEI will never disclose to a third party any confidential or proprietary information which would be injurious or damaging to a client concerning the client’s business or personal affairs without the client’s prior written consent. Any written contract between MEI and a client shall be in clear and understandable terms, and shall set forth the specific terms agreed upon between the parties, including a general description of the services to be provided by and the responsibilities of MEI.
MEI will not represent personal or business interests divergent from or conflicting with those of the client and will not accept, directly or indirectly, any rebate, fee, commission, discount, or other benefit, monetary or otherwise, which could reasonably be seen as conflicting with the interests of our client, unless the client is first notified in writing of the activity or potential conflict of interest, and consents in writing to such circumstances. At all times, MEI serves as a fiduciary for its client and does not commingle personal or company funds with the client’s funds, nor does it use one client’s funds for the benefit of another client. Client’s funds are always kept in a fiduciary account at an insured financial institution unless otherwise directed. MEI exerts due diligence for the maintenance and protection of the client’s funds against all reasonably foreseeable contingencies and losses.
Management
MEI will manage client property with due regard for the rights, responsibilities, and benefits of the tenants and others lawfully on the property. We will not engage in any conduct that is in conscious disregard for the safety and health of persons on such property’s premises. When managing assets, MEI will provide accurate, auditable financial and business records; these records are available for inspection at all reasonable times. At mutually agreed upon intervals, MEI delivers regular reports to its clients concerning each asset managed. MEI will not exaggerate, misrepresent, or conceal material facts concerning a client’s assets or any related transactions. Strict due diligence in the maintenance and management of a client’s real estate assets allows MEI to make all reasonable efforts to protect them against all reasonably foreseeable contingencies and losses.
Industry
MEI is dedicated to treating others in the profession fairly and honestly. MEI does not make, authorize or otherwise encourage any false or misleading comments concerning the practices of members of the real estate profession. MEI truthfully represents material facts in their professional activities, and we do not exaggerate or misrepresent the services offered as compared with the services offered by other real estate professionals.
Legal
MEI conducts business and personal activities with the knowledge of and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. We support the private enterprise system that can provide the widest latitude of equality for opportunity, creativity, and innovation.
